So I’m sure all of you have heard Macklemore’s hit song, “Thrift Shop”.

The title explains it, but the song is basically about thrift stores.
Since the rapper is rapping about thrift stores in the song, you might have wondered if he actually does, or have ever shopped at thrift stores.
So a here’s a quick background about Macklemore:
- born Ben Haggerty on June 19, 1983, in Seattle, Washington
- took to performing as a child, and was influenced by the likes of hip-hop
- started using liquor and drugs heavily in high school
- entered a 35-day rehab program in the summer of 2008
- released his full-length debut, The Language of My World, in 2005
- teamed up with Ryan Lewis in 2010
- released “Thrift Shop” in 2012, one of his and Lewis’ major hits
